Approach

I know that beginning a course of therapy can feel frightening, especially if this is your first time, or if you have previously suffered a bad experience with a mental health professional. For this reason, I provide a calming, safe and respectful space for us to work and dialogue together. Everything we discuss is absolutely confidential.

I believe that the problems, conflicts and issues that lead us into therapy stem from feelings and convictions that remain outside our immediate awareness. My approach rests on the view that symptom relief, emotional growth, and conflict resolution involves a gradual “putting into words” of unknown and unspoken facets of ourselves. The therapy I offer consists of a dialogue and a quiet listening (not a cold silence!) that helps you to understand yourself better, to enrich your emotional experience, and to acquire greater control and calm.
