CREDENTIALS, PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS AND ACTIVITIES
Keith Haartman, BA, MA, PhD
I received my clinical training in psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the Toronto Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis. My training included 4 years of weekly seminars, over 200 hours of case supervision, an observer internship at Toronto General Hospital (in emergency psychiatry as well as in the psycho-somatic pain group), and an intensive personal psychoanalysis.
I received my doctorate from the University of Toronto. I trained at the Centre for the Study of Religion and focused on psychology of religion, and social science approaches to the study of religion.
I teach part-time at the University of Toronto in the Religious Studies Department and in the Program for Professional Writing and Communications. I have published a book, journal articles and reviews in the areas of clinical psychoanalysis as well as religious studies.
